According to Curro school marketer Dibuseng Maboya, the inaugural competition brought together the foundation phase and intermediate phase learners from local schools, who demonstrated their abilities in coding, robotics, problem-solving and teamwork. The event marks a significant step forward in promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education within the region.

Executive head Annemarie Lombard praised both learners and staff for their role in making the initiative a success.

This is going to be the first of many. We are proud of our learners and the teamwork they display. Thank you to the staff for this exciting initiative,” she said.

Organisers expressed enthusiasm about the future of the league, highlighting its potential to grow into a key platform for young innovators. Schools across the West Rand are encouraged to participate in upcoming events and become part of this dynamic and forward-thinking initiative.
