Darryn’s back! Just misses Top 10 at Indonesian Grand Prix
After a tough season and starting near the back, Krugersdorp's Darryn Binder fought through the pack to finish 11th at Indonesian MotoGP2, just missing the top 10.
Krugersdorp MotoGP2 racer Darryn Binder narrowly missed the top 10 at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.
He took to the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit on October 5, and according to MotoGP’s official website, he placed 11th, missing the top 10 by less than a second.
Darryn was overall happy with his Indonesian performance, and on his official website, he announced that it was a difficult weekend.

“We had two different rear tyres, and with the one everyone was using, it seemed to be a struggle, so we decided to go in their direction. I felt better for the race, and at the end, I can say it was the correct decision.”

He started 23rd off the grid and believes that it is never easy.

“At the beginning of the race, I wasn’t as fast as I would have liked, but toward the end of the race, the pace was really good, and I’m happy we scored some points. The feeling is improving, now let’s try carrying this momentum to Phillip Island!” he stated.
Darryn currently has 17 points and is 24th in the Championship Standings. He will race again at the Liqui Moly Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix over the weekend of October 17 to 19.
