“We made a lot of steps forward: Direct seed to Qualifying 2 (Q2) and a good grid position, so I was expecting a lot more from the race,” he said.

He said he tried his best to gain positions during the race, but admitted he faced challenges.

“I was struggling a little bit more than in qualifying. Anyway, we go home with some points, so let’s try to see everything positively and see what will happen in Malaysia,” he added.

Darryn earned two points from this race and currently has 19 points overall. He is 23rd in the Championship Standings and will race again at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia this weekend, October 24 to 26.
