It is with that in mind that Eskom continues to communicate with communities about the safe use of electricity.

Such interventions take place at schools and community events around areas of newly electrified households.

We also urge our new customers to be on the lookout for illegal connections and those who would tamper with metres.

These are criminal acts which rob communities of a stable electricity supply.

Should the community witness such acts, we urge them to send an anonymous SMS to crime line on 32211 to report them.

For any other electricity related enquiries, the public should call the Eskom contact centre on 08600 37566
