ANC wishes all citizens a peaceful festive season
The year 2016 goes down as both memorable and challenging.
The August 3 local government elections provided us as the ANC an opportunity to confirm that majority of the citizens continue to place their future hopes on our capacity to be the best custodians of their needs and aspirations.
We remain forever humbled by this affirmation the majority of South Africans have worked very hard throughout the year, it’s that time of the year again when we all wish to take our deserved rest.
Many amongst us will be travelling to various holiday destinations, we appeal to all that we don’t drink and drive, that we don’t drink and walk on the roads, that we obey traffic rules, particularly speed limits, and that drivers must rest occasionally during the journey.
Let us work together to reduce road fatalities.
The ANC is confident that our matric of 2016 will perform well and we wish them the best in advance.
We extend our congratulations to all our social, cultural and sporting heroes who made our province and the nation proud through their excellence.
This festive season comes as the world celebrates the lives of two giants of humanity, Presidents Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro.
As we feast, we should allow our conscìence to remain in the tutelage of their towering humanity.
It’s our hope that this festive season shall be enjoyable and fulfilling.
We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year
