Get ready for great fun at the Limpopo North Toy Run
The Limpopo North Toy Run will take place in Tzaneen at Letaba Rugby Club on November 26 and 27 and this year the organisers want to go big!

“We will host a toy run where we will gather toys and necessities for needy children in our community and everyone is invited,” says organiser, Steven Fourie. The Letaba Lions Club in conjunction with the organisers would like to invite the community at large to join them for this popular charity event. “We are going big this year with the Letaba Showgrounds as a venue and we would like to invite everyone to join in the fun and activities,” says Fourie.
A 35km cycle race takes place on Saturday and starts at 07:00. Entries cost R50 for the race. A potjiekos competition with a fantastic prize, five nights accommodation at ATKV Eiland Spa for four people kicks off on Saturday and entries cost R500 for a team of four people. Jumping castles, face paint and lots of entertainment for the kids ensure that it will be a fun day out for the whole family and there will be live entertainment and lots of stalls.

Canine Security will also demonstrate the skills of their canine companions on Saturday. There will be three thrilling boxing matches presented in conjunction with Champs Boxing Academy. Local rally legends, Theuns Joubert and Erik de Jager will showcase their vehicles and nine bidders can buy a ‘hot seat’ on auction. Three hot seats in three vehicles for a adrenaline-filled ride will be auctioned off at the Toy Run. Bikers from all clubs are welcome to join a mass ride that will take place from Merensky Agricultural Academy on November 27.
Everyone with a helmet and a motorcycle, big or small, is welcome to join the relaxed ride from 08:00. Entrance fees can be soft toys, toiletries, kids’ stationery, non-perishable food as well as a cash donation. Another way to get involved with this initiative is to sponsor goodies as giveaway prizes or donate gift vouchers or cash for this charity event. Stalls will be available at a cost of R100, this includes the entry fee for two people.
