Wildlife estate trail run series starts in august

The popular Pam Golding Wildlife Estate Series presented by Lowveld Trail Running is set to start again in August, with four trail running events in Hoedspruit’s wildlife estates.

This is the fifth year that this four-part trail running series will take place. Trailblazers can choose between three distances, 5km, 10km and 20km at each of the four trail running events. In 2022 Malwanda Nlovu was the overall winner of the 5km series, Lorenz Penkler took the overall win on the 10km course and Neill Kelder was the overall winner of the 20km series.  The series starts with trails through Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate situated in the heart of Hoedspruit.

“The estate is well stocked with a diversity of plains game like giraffe, impala, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, wildebeest, eland, and warthog, to name but a few therefore ideal for walking, running, and cycling. There are three dams on the estate where one can enjoy catch and release fishing, some wonderful birding opportunities offered by the two bird hides, or lazy picnics, all great fun for the family,” says Belinda Barkas, organiser of the series.

Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate will be the first instalment of the Pam Golding Wildlife Estate Series and will be followed by exclusive and incredible runs at the Zandspruit-, Elephant Rock Eco-, and Blyde Wildlife Estates. Entries can be done online at www.lowveldtrailrunning.co.za.
