Phalaborwa United appoint new coach
Phalaborwa United appoints former Orlando Pirates striker Reason Chiloane as head coach, marking a winning start in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.

PHALABORWA – Phalaborwa United has appointed former Orlando Pirates striker Reason Chiloane as their new head coach.
Chiloane has already made a strong start in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League, helping the team to score two goals and collect three points in his opening game. He was appointed on January 10.
“It feels good to win my first game, but I want to thank my technical team and my players for this victory,” said Chiloane.

Chiloane’s coaching journey began in 2015 with Acornbush United, and he brings a wealth of playing experience, having represented Garankuwa United, Orlando Pirates, Thanda Zulu Royals, and African Warriors before retiring in 2012.
He previously served as technical director of Phalaborwa United during their time in the Hollywood Bets League, helping the team earn promotion.
“Actually, I just started where I left off when I was still with the team. What I can say is that we will make sure that we take this team to another level with my technical team because football is collective,” he added.
The club announced key leadership changes. Mashoto Malesa returns as assistant coach, Wiseman “Sethunya” Kobo takes over as team captain following the retirement of Wiseman “Madlaya” Maluleke, with Junior Sibiya named vice-captain. Lucky Nare is appointed goalkeeper coach, and Rhulani Manzini is appointed technical director.
