Sun Met style guide: Real men wear metallic

Jason Samuel incorporated metallic glow into formal and more casual looks thanks to a combination of black and soft gold.

Not sure how to interpret the Sun Met theme this year?

Straight from the fashion week runway – if you’re sporting a designer look for the precious metal-themed horse race – Tokyo James, Palse Homme and Jason Porche deliver metallic glam that captures the spirit of the theme.

Palse Homme designer Paledi Segapo really knows what he’s doing, with men’s looks that bring together shimmer, softness and masculinity. His runways are bold, easy to wear and above all, striking.

Nigerian powerhouse James also incorporated metallic elements into his SS19 runway at SA Menswear Week, showing lavender and gold elements in coats, shirts and pants.

For a gentler metallic look, Tokyo James also featured a lavender look in the SS19 menswear collection. Picture: SDR

Jason Samuel from Jason Porshe, also at SS19, incorporated metallic glow into formal and more casual looks thanks to a combination of black and soft gold.
