Oily, flat hair

According to Medical News Today, oily skin is caused by the sebaceous glands producing too much sebum.

The article describes sebum as the waxy, oily substance that protects and hydrates the skin but says too much sebum can lead to oily skin, clogged pores and acne.

It is for this very same reason that oily hair occurs – too much sebum. And while it is needed for healthy hair, too much of it can cause hair to be flat and greasy.

Redken’s Bodifying Complex, with filloxane, is a volumising agent and helps to provide instant volume to fine, flat, or processed hair.

I found the product to be light and it left my hair cleansed without feeling greasy but still offered shine.

The conditioner was light and I applied mainly to the ends due to my fine, flat hair. It did help to plump up my hair, especially after blowdrying.
