Nescafé and Ricoffy release cold coffee variants

The brands are looking to lead the conversation in building a cold coffee culture in South Africa.

This summer, South Africans will be able to enjoy a total of eight different cold coffee drinks from Nescafé and Ricoffy without having to sacrifice their favourite flavours in favour of colder beverages.

Nescafé’s Iced Coffee will be available in: Original, Latte, Mocha, and Black Roast, which are manufactured in Malaysia. The locally produced Ricoffy ‘n Ice, a derivative of South Africa’s favourite coffee brand, will also be available in four indulgent creamy flavours: Original, Vanilla, Mocha, and Caramel.

“As a company whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life and contribute to a healthier future, our consumers will now become part of the global coffee community by enjoying a delicious and unique coffee experience iced cold and on-the-go,” said business executive officer for beverages at Nestlé South Africa Nicole Roos in a statement.

“Iced coffee has become a global trend in coffee consumption, and South Africa has all the enablers in place to drive cold coffee behaviour. With 53% of South African beverage consumption being cold beverages, as well as a warm and pleasant climate for most of the year and a coffee shop culture that is growing at double digits; the launch of Nescafé iced coffees presents an opportunity for Nescafé to lead the conversation in building a cold coffee culture in South Africa.”
