Video: Help identify violent robbers
A while ago, Aerorand was hit pretty hard by a syndicate of robbers. Identikits were published and the robbers were positively identified by a local domestic worker, and arrests were made by the local detective branch.

The investigation however dragged feet and finally, the robbers walked out of court free men.
Today, residents are living in fear following a number of violent robberies, like the umpteenth attack on Mr Japie du Toit on his farm in the Stoffberg district.
Arrests were again successfully made, and much like the gang that terrorized Aerorand, the name Mamelodi came up.
Mr Du Toit was held up in his house at gunpoint, and after the terrible ordeal, the robbers fled with his Mercedes, and later crashed the car.
On 15 June, Touch of Gold in the Mall, fell prey to violent robbers who manhandled clients on camera.
The gang of robbers who shot and killed Mr Sam Ranchod in Eastdene Liquors on June 3, is also clearly identifiable on the CCTV footage that was shot during the robbery.
As with the Touch of Gold robbery, www.mobserver.co.za again released identikits of those involved, but no credible information has come of it yet.
Residents now wonder whether the name Mamelodi doesn’t come into play yet again.
Police believe that the spate of robberies which has Middelburg gripped by fear, may very well be committed by outsiders, and they are appealing for information in order to effect arrests.
