Easter Games – Naledi Pillars triumph in dramatic soccer final

The Happy Jele Foundation hosted the first Easter Games Tournament in Middelburg.

The Naledi Pillars FC emerged victorious in the Promotion Division final at the Middelburg Easter Games after a dramatic penalty shootout against Nashville FC.

The teams played to a 1–1 draw in regulation time before Naledi Pillars secured an 8–7 victory on penalties.

“This is the first edition and we hope it will become an annual event that develops players from our communities,” Happy Jele.

In the SAB/Motsepe Division final, Malombo Royals defeated Mhluzi Aces 2–1 to claim the title.

The Easter Games also featured a Legends match where PSL Legends beat Liberty Legends 4–0.

The tournament, hosted by the Happy Jele Foundation, brought together teams from across the Steve Tshwete municipal area and aims to develop local football talent.
