Supermac in action at Middelburg Country Club

The quiet and composed Mark McNulty was one of South Africa’s most popular golfers in his day.

The man with the neat moustache was known as ‘Supermac’.
He set golf courses on fire around the world in the American PGA Tour, the European Tour, and, especially, the Sunshine Tour.
He achieved 59 victories in his professional career.

And the good news is that he will be in action at the Middelburg Country Club from March 27 to 29.
The Sunshine Legends Tour moves to Middelburg for the Sunshine Legends PGA Golf Tournament.

The format is two days of pro-am, where three amateurs are in action with a professional player. On the last day, only the 40 professional players will be in action.

The winners of the PGA are invited to play in the Senior Legends PGA in Scotland in August, at the Trump International Golf Course in Aberdeen.

Other well-known players who will be in action are Chris Williams, Adilson da Silva, Keith Horne, Nic Henning, Grant Muller, Dave Usendorf, Neville Clarke, James Kingston, Andre Cruse, whose parents lived in Pullenshope, Ulrich van den Berg, Bobby Lincoln, and Jean Hugo, who just turned 50.

Last year, Horne won, but because he is already playing on the Senior Legends Tour, Wallie Coetzsee represented South Africa.
Andre Bossert from Switzerland, who plays on the Legends Tour overseas, is flying to South Africa specifically to participate.
