Kolbe injury: Boks get positive news
Cheslin Kolbe was carted off the field on Saturday and fears grew that the talented backline player will be unavailable for the Springboks.

Reports from France suggest that Cheslin Kolbe’s injury may not be as bad as initially feared, after the Springbok winger left the field in tears while in action for Toulon.
Kolbe went from ecstasy to agony when he had to be carted off the field shortly after scoring a try in Toulon’s win over Lyon on Saturday night.

There was no clarity on the extent of the injury in the immediate aftermath of the game, but there were fears that it could put Kolbe’s participation for the Springboks at risk, especially as he appeared to be in a lot of pain.
“We are apparently talking about a sprain,” Mignoni was quoted by French publication Midi Olympique RugbyRama.
Mignoni added that the club would have more information once further tests were conducted.

A sprain would mean that Kolbe would be out for the next few weeks and will miss Friday’s European Challenge Cup last-16 clash against the Cheetahs.
