Fifty injured in Kranspoort

A bus, underway to Thohoyandou, crashed in Kranspoort on Sunday night.

Provincial, ER24 and EMO ambulances rushed to the scene to attend to the estimated 50 people who were injured during the crash.

Patients sustained minor to serious injuries. Miraculously, no one was killed. The accident took place shortly after 22:00.

According to a source on the scene, the bus was overloaded. It looked like it lost control as it went down the Kranspoort pass where construction to widen the road is currently being done.
