Multiple reports have been received of a major crash on the N4 highway near Arnot on a local Traffic Alert WhatsApp group.
According to information provide from responders, TRAC and other emergency services were dispatched and are currently still on the scene.
A truck and a lightweight bakkie are believed to have been involved in the collision, which occurred just before 12:00 today.
It is still unknown what caused the collision between the bakkie, hauling a trailer filled with multi-vehicle tyres, and the truck, which resulted in both vehicles crashing into a roadside barrier on the N4.
Motorists may face delays
Emergency services are attending to the scene and no major injuries have been reported.
The incident has resulted in one lane closure as responding services clear the scene, but the road remains open to travelling motorists.
Motorists travelling on the N4 near the crash are advised to approach the area with caution.
