There are whatsapp groups on which to contact them, as well as the Radio channel on the phone, which is active on zello.

All members are also connected via whatsapp and zello and the entire town’s members can be called to assist with a search or lookout with one call and one whatsapp.

All sub-sectors also have their own groups, making reaction times in time of need very quick. All the sector managers, appointed by SAPS, are also on the groups, together with the Station commander, Vispol head and other Heads of Departments of SAPS.

During the past year, the Middelburg CPF achieved the following:

– CPF Boards at all entrances to sub-sectors;

– Aim was to reduce crime through visible patrolling by day and night. This was achieved, if looking at the SAPS stats;

– All sub-sectors patrolling daily;

– Mass patrols almost monthly together with SAPS, usually on Friday nights, where the town was flooded with green and blue lights, usually not less than 80 to 90 vehicles patrolling at the same time;

– Sector 4 is also assisting daily at Tosca and Saverite;

– Various fundraisers and awareness campaigns by all sub-sectors were done throughout the year;

– CPF 911 assisted at De Voetpadkloof during outdoor weekends to ensure safety of visitors from out of town. They also had a fun- and team building event at Event City, and;

– Sector 3.4 had outreaches and awareness campaigns and assisted with security during the Cansa Relay for Life which was an all-nighter.
