Upon retrieving the bodies, rescue workers noticed that one was missing a hand. Their search of the scene delivered no results.

The help of the police’s K9 Search and Rescue unit were called in. Tara, a rescue dog trained to search for humans and human remains, combed the scene. Within minutes she indicated to her handler that she has found something.

The deceased’s hand was found amongst concrete rubble and returned to be buried with the body.
