Musavengane family still in shock after accident
The Musavengane family are still trying to come to terms with the shock of Monday morning when a horrific accident snatched the life of their "brilliant" eight-year-old daughter, and hospitalised their two other daughters, aged 10 and seven years old.
Vanessa died instantly when the driver of a VW Jetta skipped a stop street in Kanonkop at 07:00 and crashed into the Mazda bakkie she and her sisters were travelling in.
Onlookers described a scene of panic and despair as soon as the crash happened.

The Jetta’s engine burst into flames, the driver fled the scene, disbelief surrounded the lifeless body of the eight-year-old, two other girls were screaming in pain, and the driver of the Mazda was in a state of shock.
