Man chopped, dumped in toilet
According to a police report, the deceased is yet unidentified. He was chopped into pieces with an axe and dumped in a public toilet in Avalon.
It apparently occurred due to a fight which started at a local tavern. It is believed that the suspect was called a “Shangaan from Stoffberg”.
He became angry and unleashed deadly force onto the man, before the body was dumped.
It was discovered a few hours later by someone who wanted to use the bathroom and police were alerted.
The suspect was arrested and has been identified as Ephraim Mokwena. He was meant to appear in court last week but was apparently assaulted in custody.
Police said that the man was taken to hospital for treatment and will make another appearance before court on charges of murder this week.
