Maredi ‘break into same house twice’

A 29 year old man whose address is currently unconfirmed, has appeared in court after being accused of breaking into the same house twice.

Manabeng Edwin Marcus Maredi is accused of breaking into the house of Onathi Faith Mdluli and stealing household goods including a laptop, amplifier and cutlery set.

He was charged with housebreaking with the intent to steal and theft.

Maredi faces a second charge of house breaking, this time to commit a crime unknown to the state for breaking into the same house a second time.

He was refused bail and will remain in custody until the state verifies his address in Limpopo. Maredi was scheduled to appear in court again yesterday (Monday).

The outcome of his court appearance was not known at the time of going to press.
