Video: Pedestrians “pushed” into taxi

A taxi driver has been accused of bullying pedestrians following an altercation with members of the public.

Video footage shows a group of pedestrians angry and agitated, arguing with the driver and asking people to call the police.

It is believed the driver of the taxi, which belongs to a MD Mohlala of Roossenekal/ Steelpoort, shoved and pushed the group of pedestrians into the taxi.

They were forced inside but upon the arrival of www.mobserver.co.za they were let go.

The owner of the taxi, Themba Mohlala, told www.mobserver.co.za that the argument was actually about money.

“We charge R130 per passenger to Burgersfort, but they refused and started to swear at the driver. That was the reason for the argument and why they were making a scene.”
