Fire in Gholfsig under control

The fire that reportedly consumed a residence in AG Visser Street in Gholfsig, was successfully extinguished.

Residents from the area, frantically contacted www.mobserver.co.za in the fear that the billowing column of smoke would spread through the neighbourhood.

Upon the arrival of the journalists, the fire brigade was present and everything was under control.

The homeowners confirmed that the blaze had been extinguished and that no injuries were sustained.

They stated that their garage and servant quarters had caught alight but the rest of the home remains intact.
