Five busted for dagga

Five men between the ages of 25 to 39, three of which were foreign nationals, were arrested yesterday on the N4 near Middelburg for allegedly dealing in dagga.

The arrest came after members of the Crime Intelligence Unit in Witbank received information of a truck carrying sugar from Malelane to Johannesburg was transporting dagga.

The members, together with the Middelburg Flying Squad, stopped and searched the truck.
Bags of compressed marijuana to the estimated street value of R370 000 were found.

The suspects were arrested and will appear in the Witbank Magistrate’s Court today on charges of dealing in dagga.
