Law enforcement steps in as shoppers flock to Middelburg Mall

The entry points leading to Middelburg Mall have been secured by road blocks where law enforcers are currently implementing access control.

Members of the SAPS, Traffic Department and the SANDF have been stationed at the entry, where they are checking vehicles for compliance with lockdown regulations.

Any vehicles which exceed the maximum amount of occupants, or are not wearing masks, are being pulled over.

Local law enforcers have intercepted several vehicles, where the whole family is travelling to the mall.

Shoppers and motorists are reminded that anyone who fails to comply with regulations will be fined or arrested.
