The sluicegate will be opened at 300mm today (Tuesday) at 15:00, after the dam recorded a reading of 97%.

Approximately 4% of the dam’s capacity will be released to contain the dam level at 93% full.

Residents have been advised to avoid the areas near the Klein Olifants river.
