Second unidentifiable murder victim has M’langa police scratching their heads
Mpumalanga police are facing another conundrum after an unidentifiable body was found on Tuesday, following the discovery of the buried remains of another man in Machadodorp in February 2020.
In February 2020’s incident, the body of a man weighing 140kg’s and 2.05 meters tall, was discovered in a shallow grave between Waterval Boven and Mbombela.
The victim was executed with close range bullet wounds, and found with both his hands and feet tied.
Tattoos led police to believe that the victim may have been a foreigner, perhaps from Russian or Eastern-block descent.
Www.mobserver.co.za had reported extensively about the victim in an effort to assist police with identifying him. No record of entry could be obtained from border posts and there’s also no matching finger prints on file at home affairs.
• On Tuesday, the body of another tall man was discovered close to Loskop Dam.

The skeletal remains were dressed in brown pants, navy blue shirt, Transnet jacket and black lace up boots.
The victim’s hands were also bound with cable ties. A wound to the skull is believed to have been the cause of death.
DNA samples have been sent to the national police lab due to the advanced stage of decomposition.
