Woman murdered, dumped on rugby field
The police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt after the body of 19 year-old Sinethemba Princess Nkosi was discovered at a rugby field in Carolina.
Ms Nkosi was reported missing by her family on 26 March, after she left home on 23 March, to visit a friend in Hendrina and did not return.
After calling her several times and failing to get hold of her, Ms Nkosi’s family grew concerned and reported the matter to the police.
According to Provincial Media Spokesperson for the Mpumalanga SAPS, Brigadier Leonard Hlathi, an investigation into her whereabouts was immediately conducted when on Saturday, police and medical personnel were notified about the gruesome discovery.
“The body has since been identified by her family to be that of Sinethemba Princess Nkosi, from Silobela township in Carolina. A murder case was then opened accordingly hence the manhunt for a suspect.”
Police urge anyone with information regarding the case or any details on the whereabouts of Ms Sinethemba Princess Nkosi’s friend from Hendrina, to call Detective Warrant Officer Thulani Sibeko at 082 303 9940.
The police believe this friend may assist in their investigation.
