Ward 22 by-elections on track after passing councilor Patrick Motau
The Independent Electoral Commission says its ready for the by-elections, having now formally declared 19 May as polling day.
Councilor Patrick Motau passed away due to Covid-19 complications on February 13.

Municipal Manager, Mr Bheki Khenisa, declared the vacancy in terms of the Municipal Structures Act.
The following important dates must be adhered to in order for Ward 22 residents to be able to vote:
VOTER REGISTRATION
Date: 10 and 11 April 2021 Time: 08:00-17:00
Where: Mphanama Comprehensive High School, Manyano Primary School and Chromeville Community Hall.
SPECIAL VOTING on May 18 from 08:00 to 17:00
Application dates: 3 to 7 May 2021
ELECTION DAY
Date: 19 May 2021 Time: 07:00-17:00
Venue: Mphanama Comprehensive High School, Manyano Primary School and Chromeville Community Hall.
