According to reaction officers from Titon Security, who are assisting the Public Order Policing units, different groups of protesters have strategically split up, targeting areas around Middelburg including the Middelburg Mall and mines, demanding work.

Strong police presence with the assistance from the private security sector has brought order to the unrest.

The group of about 120 protesters in Keiskamma Drive are suspected to be moving towards the mines on Van Dijksdrift road.

The scene is under control and being monitored by authorities.
