VIDEO: Munisipaliteit ondersoek Aerorand se “bruin, stink” water

’n Munisipale span is tans in die veld in Aerorand ontplooi om die oorsaak van die woonbuurrt se vuil kraanwater te ondersoek.

Inwoners mor al van gister af weens bruin water met ’n reuk wat uit hul krane loop.

Wyksraadslid mnr. Hennie Niemann sê hy het tot na 22:00 gisteraand klagtes van inwoners hanteer. Vanmore is sy foon weer warm gebel, sê mnr. Niemann, wat navrae aan die munisipaliteit gerig het.

Die oorsaak van die probleem word tans ondersoek, omdat daar tans nie ’n ooglopende oorsaak gevind kan word nie.

“Die munisipaliteit wil nie spekuleer nie en ’n span van die waterdepartement is ontplooi om na lekke, of ander oorsake te soek,” sê mnr. Niemann.

Vuil, modderige water, word gewoonlik deur pypbarste veroorsaak.

Mnr. Niemann sê egter dat Aerorand se bruin water eerder lyk soos bodemwater van ’n vuil reservoir. Hy het onderneem om aanhou druk op die munisipaliteit te plaas vir antwoorde.

Intussen word die hele Aerorand se waternetwerk van die vuil water “gebloei”.
