Dwelmsakkie in parkeerarea opgetel

’n Vrou wat inkopies gaan doen het by die Midwater Sentrum het vanoggend ’n klein dwelmsakkie in die parkeerarea opgetel.

Me. Rozllin Cousins sê sy was op pad na haar kar, toe sy die sakkie, met nog ’n mespuntjie dwelms, soortgelyk aan CAT of kokaïne in die parkeerarea opgetel het.

• Me. Sandra Rodrigues (Midwater Sentrumbestuurder) sê dit is die eerste keer in 16 jaar dat sy hoor dat so iets daar gekry is.

“Ek weet nie hoekom kom die mense nie na ons kantoor toe en meld dit daar aan nie. Ons het kameras en sal dadelik kan sien van waar af dit kom. Dit kon uit iemand se sak of kar uitgeval het. As iemand so-iets kry, moet hulle ons so gou as moontlik kontak, want ons sal beslis kan naspoor wie dit laat val het.”

Me. Rodrigues het dit duidelik gestel dat dit baie onwaarskynlik is dat dit moontlik ’n dwelmverslaafde kon wees wat dit daar kon laat val het.

“Ons is baie streng by die sentrum en géén dwelmverslaafdes of boemelaars word in die sentrum of in die parkeerarea toegelaat nie. Hulle word dadelik verwilder as hulle daar aankom.”

Sy het gemeld dat hulle 24 uur sekuriteit het en dat die hekke ook in die nagte toegemaak word om alle gure karakters uit te hou.
