Daar is nie op hierdie stadium meer inligting beskikbaar nie, maar dit is bevestig dat ten minste een renoster doodgemaak is vir die stuk horing wat uitgegroei het, nadat dit in 2015 afgesaag is.

Mnr. en me. Deon en Susan Cornelius, eienaars van Ubhetyan, is hewig ontsteld.

Hulle was in die dorp besig met sake toe personeel hulle van die plaas af laat weet het dat die renosterbul doodgemaak is vir sy horing. Mnr. Cornelius het pas laat weet dat dit pragbul, Ubhet, is wat doodgeskiet is.

“Hy is in 2015 voor in die kop geskiet en kon ons hom red.”

Die renoster is sowat 15 jaar oud. “In die prime van sy lewe,” het mnr. Cornelius hartseer gesê.

Na aanleiding van die toneel en die hoeveelheid maaiers op die dier, is alle aanduidings dat hy al Saterdag geskiet is.
