Nadat hulle die oggend die hond gekry het, het hulle gereël dat hul lieflinghond op ’n plaas begrawe word. Hulle weet dus nie watter gif gebruik is nie.
• Daar word gewoonlik die vinnigwerkende gif, Temik (ook Two Step genoem), of ’n vermenging daarvan wat Aldicarb bevat, gebruik om honde te vergiftig.
• In die meeste gevalle word honde stil gemaak om motorfietse in die omgewing te steel. In baie gevalle volg daar na vergiftigings inbrake in die omgewing.
