Die bewyse is in die spuit
“The proof is in the pudding as dit kom by inentings.” Dit is die mening van pastoor Callie Joubert.
Past Joubert het reeds sy twee Pfizer inentings teen Covid-19 gekry.
Hy sê dat die algemene gevoel onder sy gemeente positief is oor die inentings alhoewel daar tog mense is wat weier om ingeënt te word.
“Ons almal is tog as kinders teen pokke en polio geënt. Dit was verpligtend vir alle kinders gewees,” sê hy.
Past Joubert sê hy dink die negatiewe konnotasies aan die hedendaagse inentings is hoofsaaklik as gevolg van fopnuus wat vrylik bekombaar is op sosiale media.
“Daar is dan selfs predikante wat sê dat dit die merk van die Antichris is. Maar daar is absoluut geen bewyse nie. As Bill Gates regtig ’n hofsaak teen Amerika gewen het sou dit oral op die nuus gewees het, nie net op ’n WhatsApp boodskap wat rondgestuur word nie.”
Hy sê dat lande soos Israel en Amerika, wat grootskaalse inentingsprogramme het, se dalende Covid-19 gevalle bewys dat die inenting effektief is.
Past Joubert het twee kinders wat in die mediese veld werk en hulle het ook al beide hul inentings gekry.
“So baie mense sterf. Hoe vinniger ons almal spuit hoe gouer kan ons onsself beskerm.”
