Mall manager, Mr Mike Tammage, gave confirmation that the mall has temporarily shut down as a precautionary measure, after potentially threatening messages targeting the Mall were circulated.

There have been no acts of violent protests at the Mall, and the SAPS were alerted and sharpened security measures throughout the night.

The Mall is closed as a precautionary measure only.
