Vaccine drive gains momentum – what you need to know

The vaccine drive for people aged 50 and above has shown progress through means of a healthy turnout at vaccine sites.

DA Ward Councillor, Helda de Klerk, said that the Department of Health has discussed the possibility of designating the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall and Kees Taljaard cricket club as two fixed sites that will operate on a weekly basis.

Residents who wish to receive the vaccine can visit the following areas:

Mondays to Fridays:

•Middelburg Provincial Hospital
•Nasaret Clinic

Every Tuesday:

•Sydney Choma Banquet Hall

Every Thursday:

•Kees Taljaard cricket club

15 – 16 July:

•Kwazamokuhle Clinic
•Adelaide Tambo Hall
•Eric Jiyane Hall
•Nasaret Hall

Residents who fall between the age groups of 35 – 49 are reminded that they can start registering via the EVDS portal as of today (15 July) and that vaccination will start from 1 August.

Register via the EVDS portal by dialing *134*832# or by sending a WhatsApp with the word REGISTER to 060 012 3456.

•The humdrum at the local Covid-19 testing areas has died down and order has resumed at laboratories.
