Armed robber targets filling station
An armed robber held staff at gunpoint at a filling station in Cowen Ntuli Street on Monday night.
According to information, no one was injured, and the robber made off with very little cash. He was dressed in a greenish khaki jacket and jeans, with a khaki cap and a South African flag buff pulled over his face.
The incident happened at around 20:30 and saw the swift reaction from community members to try and catch the robber.
He managed to flee into the neighbouring industrial area and disappeared.
An investigation is underway.
