STLM erects hospitality board for museum

Driving into Middelburg, visitors are welcomed at the entrance with beautiful monuments, followed by road signs that warn of owls, frogs, ducks, guinea fowl and rabbits, and now one more can be added to the checklist, the hospitality sign announcing the arrival of the OH Frewin Printing and Community Press Museum.

Steve Tshwete Local Municipality’s eagerness to contribute to the custodianship of our history is a delightful feather in the cap for their ongoing spectacular service.

When our custodians of history, Mr Dries Venter and Mr Tobie van den Bergh, announced the opening of the museum, the municipality responded in record time to provide a sign in Meyer Street, as well as outside OH Frewin Printers.

The museum was also honoured with a visit from the executive mayor, Mr Diphala Motsepe.

To show thanks to their speedy reaction, the Middelburg Observer announced the team involved in the erection of the sign as our Resident of the Week.

Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, we thank you!
