Middelburg SAPS received their Covid jab

The SAPS Covid-19 vaccination drive kick-started in Middelburg on Thursday.

SAPS members from various police stations in the Nkangla District came in numbers to receive their jabs at the Middelburg Police Station.

Since the launch of the roll-out for enforcement members started on July 8, over 40 000 officers and support personnel have been vaccinated nationally.

According to police spokesperson, Sgt Thabitha Malehase, the programme will run for two days in Middelburg before going to other police stations in the province.

The drive was spearheaded by Brigadier Melody Tefo.

The drive will continue to prioritise members who were at high risk, including those who were 60 and over as well those with comorbidities.
