Police hot on the trail of sex worker’s alleged murderer

Police say the men approached the women around 11:00 and the ex boyfriend demanded that the deceased delete his photographs from her phone.

A fellow prostitute told police that she was with the murdered woman in the Uitkyk bushes next to the Vandyksdrift road when the pair were confronted by the deceased’s ex boyfriend and a friend on Friday.

Police say the men approached the women around 11:00 and the ex boyfriend demanded that the deceased delete his photographs from her phone.

An argument ensued after which the ex boyfriend allegedly took out a knife and threatened the woman.

The other sex worker fled leaving the deceased behind with the men.

Upon her return, she found the deceased with numerous stab wounds right next to the Vandyksdrift road, where the woman was declared dead by paramedics.

The suspect is known to police though he has not been arrested for the murder yet.
