Suspects appear in court

Three of the 16 people arrested by the Mpumalanga Hawks Serious and Organised Crime Investigation Unit appeared in the Middelburg Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday).

The Zimbabwean nationals, Maxwell Muchenje (39), Maxwell Dube (32) and Witness Mbabo (27), were charged with theft and damage to essential infrastructure.

Captain Dineo Sekgotodi of the Hawks said the other suspects brought their permits for verification and they were released.

The men will appear in court again on September 7.
