A motorist traveling from Loskop Dam towards Middelurg, Mr Johan Hatting

, has warned that a serious oilspill on the Kranspoort climb-lane, is causing vehicles to spin and even rotate.

The problem has been reported to authorities and the fire brigade who is on the scene to clean the spill. Mr Hattingh nevertheless warns motorists of the danger, he says, even covered the gholf cart he was towing, in oil.

“At frist I thought it was water but when vehicles ahead of me sstarted spinnning on the clime, some even rotating during the spin, I realized it was oil, then my tires started spinning too,” Mr Hattingh says.

Its unclear what caused the spill which is in the left hand lane of the Kranspoort climb towards Middelburg.
