Blue Ribbon, Isuzu Middelburg and the DA clean up the town
Waste collection services remain suspended over ongoing protests by solid waste workers.

Municipal worker representative, Pankiso Mnisi, told www.mobserver.co.za that workers are not willing to go back to work until their demands are met. The solid waste workers want the municipality to stop outsourcing services and upgrade their post grading from Level 4 to Level 6.
The workers downed tools three weeks ago, leaving the town in a mess.
Frustrated residents, business owners and political parties decided to clean up Mpumalanga’s greenest town.
DA ward councillors embarked on a massive clean-up operation on Tuesday to rid the town of overflowing rubbish.
Blue Ribbon Middelburg also joined the clean-up operation on Thursday. The bakery will send out trucks to pick up refuse at 10:00 in Mineralia and Clubville.
On Friday, Blue Ribbon and Isuzu Middelburg will also collect rubbish in the hot spot area.
