Three of five accident victims identified

Three of the five people who passed away during a horror accident on the R555 (Stoffberg Road) have been identified.

Five lives, among them a three year-old child, were lost in a head-on collision on Wednesday October 6.

Jane Hleko said that three of her children passed away in the accident. They were underway from Limpopo to eMalahleni when the accident occurred near Laerskool Uitkyk, about 45 km outside of Middelburg.

Ms Hleko said her three children were named Lukas, Deliwe and Poppi Hleko. She did not have photos of them and said that their phones were stolen on the accident scene.

The Hleko children will be laid to rest this weekend.

The identities of the remaining two deceased could not be established before deadline.
