A second pipe burst on the raw water line has occurred around 04:00 this morning leaving some Kanonkop residents without water for two full days.

Dennesig residents are also now affected by dry taps. Residents banded together to supply water to affected areas.

Teams are on the ground working around the clock to fix the pipe burst.

It is estimated that water might only start to fill the Kanonkop/Dennesig reservoir around midnight tonight.

Some areas are only estimated to receive water by tomorrow afternoon.

The high lying areas ae worst affected, namely Kanonkop and Dennesig, while some parts of town has resources for probably today only.

Residents with water should please abstain from overuse, as the feed to the water purification plant is affected by the burst.
