Striking municipal employees force contractors to stop work

Striking municipal employees are going around town, forcing contractors to stop the work the illegally striking workers should be doing.

A team of electrical contractors have also been attacked, and forced to stop working, resulting in only one team left, willing to do the work.

A number of residents have reported seeing groups of men around Midwater Centre, instructing workers replacing water pipes, to stop working.

A local resident said he saw a number of men, in red overalls, instructing a crew of contractors cutting grass, to stop their work earlier today.

His dash-cam captured the men responsible for the intimidation.

The troublemakers arrived in two VW vehicles, one being black and the other silver.

The intimidation continues despite promises by striking employees to leave working municipal employees in peace.

The man on the right, dressed in red overall, is said to be one of the main instigators, threatening contractors.
