Two municipal mini-buses damaged at Vaalbank Reservoir

The Middelburg Police were hard at work last week with several incidents reported between November 7–13.

Four cases of malicious damage were opened.

On November 10, two municipal mini-buses were damaged at the Vaalbank Reservoir at about 17:40. No arrests have been made yet.

Last Thursday, municipal law enforcers were attacked by a group of 40 people at the Nazareth Cemetery. The windscreen of the bakkie the law enforcers were travelling in was broken; the law enforcers were not injured during the attack.

• At least six cases of gender-based violence were opened.

• A case of illegal trading was opened.

• One murder case was opened.

• A man was arrested for shoplifting.

• Two theft cases were opened.

• One person was arrested for reckless and negligent driving.

• One rape case was opened.

• A docket was opened for damage to infrastructure.

• Two housebreaking and theft cases were opened.

• Four people were arrested for being in possession of drugs.

• Two people were arrested for being in possession of fake goods.

• One person was arrested for perjury.

• An attempted theft case was opened.

• Three cases of kidnapping and assault were opened.

• One person was arrested for illegally dealing liquor.

• One case of theft and trespassing was opened.

• Four people were arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property.

• One person was arrested for dealing drugs.
