Mpumalanga Education Department condemns murder of security guard at secondary school
Departmental spokesman Jasper Zwane told www.mobserver.co.za that the killing is not a lone inccident, with a number of murders of school security guards having been reported.
Mpumalanga Education MEC, Bonakele Majuba, will visit Allendale Secondary School tomorrow, following the murder of a security guard at the school.
The body of the victim was discovered by the school’s principal on the scoolground on Thursday.
The department condemned the brutal act, but did not release any particulars around the incident, apart from saying that the murder marks an increase in attacks against security guards at learning institutions in the province.

Many Middelburg kids attend the school. The body of the deceased was discovered by the principal on the premises on Thursday.
The department has dispatched officials to gather information, and will release more information around the circumstances of events at a later stage.
Psychological support for affected learners has also been made available.
